I know, I know. I already posted something about my new art assignment, but I'm SOO excited to do it cause I keep finding all these amazing ideas!

This is a collection of photographies known as : 

Glimpsing into the past

That was done by  a group in FlickR, but I found it on LAVintage.

The idea is so simple, I love it. 

Just find pictures from the past such as an old park bench in the 50's for example, and then go take another picture of where it would be now.

Like I said before...Its so simple, but its crazy seeing how over time things change!

PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST

   What I loved about her art work, was that many of her paintings were based on art works from the past, and yet she was able to recapture them and make them unique to her style. And because of that it reminded me of our theme of time. Through out time there have been so many great genius people who have created such amazing works of arts, written imaginative books, and who have done eye opening discoveries, and if it wasn't for what they have done, I don't think that today's people would have done, or discovered what they have. Over all what I really liked about her art work was how she could use stuff she found from the past, and revive them in her own way, making it meaningful to her and I think that her work could be used as a great example for my new theme that I was challenged to do this week. I am so excited to get started on this new project! I accept the challenge! 

The rumors are true...

Yes indeed the rumors are true!

What rumors you may ask? Well the rumors of my ingenious idea to be in a pageant!

Yes, indeed you do not need to get your eyes checked, you read correctly; I am in a pageant!

I vowed my self not to ever to one, because they were so superficial, but as usual I was wrong.

This pageant is a scholarship pageant, which is amazing cause I happen to be going to college this summer and scholarships are a big deal.

So unlike a "beauty" pageant I dont have to worry about getting no boob job or anything of that sort. ( but I still need to look good, dont get me wrong!) Instead I just have to worry about being my self, nailing my platform and the interview and trying my best! I am so excited to participate! Less than 2 weeks away!

Its about time....

Pretty much, the only reason why I did this blog was so I can make it into a fashion blog.
Obviously that hasnt worked out. So I think it's about time I do it!

Basicly I dont really have anything to say.  Why?

Because I'm no fashionista, model, fashion editor or what ever...I'm just a simple ordinary girl stuck in the boringly dressed land of Utah. haha (no offence to my fellow Utans)

But what I do have to say is:

Dont be afraid to wear something bright or bold thats out of the ordinary....sometimes thats exactly what your outfit needs....and even what you need! Why not stand out from the croud?  What do you have to loose?? NOTHING!

So stop  hiding behind your jeans and T-shirt that is "in style" and that everyone is wearing...wear something that makes you...you ! Confidence is sexy my friends! So work it !

Tis the Season for TAMALES!

FINALLY !

  Once a year, around Christmas time my family has the amazing tradition to make TAMALES! Not any kind of Tamales....COSTA RICAN TAMALES! They are literally heaven on earth ! I've been looking forward for theses ALL year ! Ah, FINALLY !
